{"id":15801,"date":"2023-11-13T12:38:25","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T12:38:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.reciplasa.es\/?p=15801\/"},"modified":"2023-11-13T12:39:18","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T12:39:18","slug":"reciplasa-uji-cebimat-i-aimplas-estudiaran-com-millorar-la-biodegradacio-dels-materials-bioplastics-durant-el-compostatge-amb-el-suport-lagencia-valenciana-de-la-innovacio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reciplasa.es\/va\/reciplasa-uji-cebimat-i-aimplas-estudiaran-com-millorar-la-biodegradacio-dels-materials-bioplastics-durant-el-compostatge-amb-el-suport-lagencia-valenciana-de-la-innovacio\/","title":{"rendered":"Reciplasa, UJI, CEBIMAT i AIMPLAS estudiaran com millorar la biodegradaci\u00f3 dels materials biopl\u00e0stics durant el compostatge amb el suport l\u2019Ag\u00e8ncia Valenciana de la Innovaci\u00f3"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019equip investigar\u00e0 nous m\u00e8todes i procediments mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019addicci\u00f3 de microorganismes capa\u00e7os d\u2019accelerar la degradaci\u00f3 d\u2019aquests materials<\/span><\/em><\/h5>\n<p class=\"p1\">L\u2019empresa p\u00fablica de tractament i gesti\u00f3 dels residus urbans de la prov\u00edncia de Castell\u00f3n, Reciplasa, el grup d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uji.es\/serveis\/ocit\/base\/grupsinvestigacio\/detall?codi=239\"><span class=\"s1\">PIMA &#8211; Pol\u00edmers i Materials Avan\u00e7ats<\/span><\/a> de la Universitat Jaume I de Castell\u00f3n, l\u2019start up CEBIMAT i l\u2019Institut Tecnol\u00f2gic del Pl\u00e0stic (AIMPLAS) han comen\u00e7at un estudi, finan\u00e7at amb m\u00e9s de cinc-cents mil euros per l\u2019Ag\u00e8ncia Valenciana de la Innovaci\u00f3, que t\u00e9 per objectiu la millora de la biodegradaci\u00f3 dels materials biopl\u00e0stics durant el proc\u00e9s de compostatge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">El nou model europeu d\u2019economia circular i la seua estrat\u00e8gia per al pl\u00e0stic tenen com a prioritat augmentar el reciclatge dels residus d\u2019envasos de pl\u00e0stic fins a nivells comparables a altres materials d\u2019envasament. Hi ha, per tant, una necessitat urgent a Europa d\u2019ampliar les taxes de reciclatge i de crear mercats viables als pl\u00e0stics reciclats per afrontar l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 internacional en aquest \u00e0mbit, com la restricci\u00f3 de Xina a la importaci\u00f3 de determinats residus pl\u00e0stics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">El projecte \u00abEstudi de la valoritzaci\u00f3 dels residus de biopl\u00e0stics mitjan\u00e7ant nous processos de compostatge (COMBOOST)\u00bb estudiar\u00e0 nous m\u00e8todes i procediments de compostatge, tant en pl\u00e0stics considerats biodegradables com en els no biodegradables, mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019addicci\u00f3 de microorganismes capa\u00e7os d\u2019accelerar la degradaci\u00f3 d\u2019aquests materials. En concret, l\u2019experimentaci\u00f3 es centrar\u00e0 en els pl\u00e0stics derivats de l\u2019almid\u00f3 (PLA) i els pl\u00e0stics biodegradables (PHA) i els seus derivats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alineat amb l\u2019estrat\u00e8gia d\u2019economia circular per al pl\u00e0stic, el projecte COMBOOST permetr\u00e0 abordar algunes de les barreres per al reciclatge d\u2019envasaments pl\u00e0stics mitjan\u00e7ant el compostatge i crear\u00e0 noves soluciones per a l\u2019eliminaci\u00f3 de micropl\u00e0stics en el compost generat. D\u2019aquesta manera, evitar\u00e0 que acaben en el medi natural o en medi agr\u00edcola i, per tant, en la cadena aliment\u00e0ria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Els pl\u00e0stics es degradaran m\u00e9s r\u00e0pid en el proc\u00e9s de compostatge i s&#8217;evitar\u00e0 la deposici\u00f3 en abocador de residus que no puguin ser reciclats mec\u00e0nicament. A m\u00e9s, el compost produ\u00eft d&#8217;alta qualitat podria emprar-se per a regenerar o millorar la qualitat dels s\u00f2ls, en el sector agr\u00edcola o jardineria, sense problemes de toxicologia o contaminaci\u00f3 associats despr\u00e9s d&#8217;investigar la seua innocu\u00eftat mitjan\u00e7ant bioassajos d&#8217;ecotoxicitat normalitzats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Les raons per a impulsar el reciclatge de pl\u00e0stics mitjan\u00e7ant el compostatge inclouen beneficis econ\u00f2mics i mediambientals. Cal destacar, que el reciclatge terciari de pl\u00e0stics tamb\u00e9 pot oferir avantatges competitius a les empreses, com s\u00f3n la millora de la imatge corporativa, m\u00e0rqueting ecol\u00f2gic, foment de l&#8217;ecoinnovaci\u00f3 i anticipaci\u00f3 enfront de futurs canvis legislatius (com els que ja es preveuen en l&#8217;estrat\u00e8gia d&#8217;economia circular per al pl\u00e0stic).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">El treball del personal investigador de la Universitat Jaume I en el projecte ser\u00e0 la recerca de l\u2019additiu que millore el proc\u00e9s de compostatge. La tasca s\u2019inicia amb la identificaci\u00f3 dels microorganismes que presenten altes capacitats per degradar pol\u00edmers compostables, per despr\u00e9s aconseguir una combinaci\u00f3 i el cultiu dels mateixos amb la m\u00e0xima capacitat degradant i que, a la vegada, tinga un impacte significatiu en el proc\u00e9s de biodegradaci\u00f3 dels pl\u00e0stics compostables.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">L\u2019activitat investigadora del grup PIMA s\u2019enquadra en l\u2019\u00e0rea de la ci\u00e8ncia i enginyeria de materials amb l\u00ednies d\u2019estudi com els pol\u00edmers per a la ind\u00fastria de l\u2019envasament o la biodegradaci\u00f3 de materials i el desenvolupament i processat de nous materials polim\u00e8rics biodegradables. Els dos investigadors al front d\u2019aquest estudi s\u00f3n Luis Cabedo Mas y Jos\u00e9 G\u00e1mez P\u00e9rez, amb m\u00e9s vint anys d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 sobre pol\u00edmers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Les l\u00ednies de recerca relacionades amb l&#8217;economia circular i la gesti\u00f3 de residus pl\u00e0stics i amb metodologies complement\u00e0ries com el reciclatge terciari i\/o biol\u00f2gic est\u00e0 sent desenvolupat per Aimplas. Aix\u00ed mateix, la spin-off de l&#8217;UJI CEBIMAT lidera els assajos de biodegradaci\u00f3 de materials pl\u00e0stics, mentre que Reciplasa aporta la seua experi\u00e8ncia en el tractament i valoritzaci\u00f3 de residus s\u00f2lids urbans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">COMBOOST s&#8217;emmarca en dos dels tres pilars de l&#8217;Estrat\u00e8gia Especialitzaci\u00f3 Intel\u00b7ligent de la Comunitat Valenciana, S3, que coordina la Conselleria d&#8217;Innovaci\u00f3, Ind\u00fastria, Comer\u00e7 i Turisme. En concret, l&#8217;impuls de la transici\u00f3 ecol\u00f2gica i sostenible i de la transformaci\u00f3 digital.
